History House Closing for Lift Works
History House will be temporarily closed from 19 October 2026 until March 2027 as we prepare for the installation of our new lift.
The new lift is another important step in making History House more accessible and welcoming for everyone.
While our doors are closed, the RAHS will still be busy! Our team will continue to answer emails and voicemail messages, and we have a range of online events and excursions planned over the coming months.
Members will continue to receive their usual RAHS publications, and we’ll keep everyone up to date with news about the lift project, upcoming events and other activities through our eNewsletter.
We look forward to welcoming everyone back to History House in March 2027, once the major lift works are complete.
A big thank you to all our donors, supporters and members who have helped make this project possible. Together, we’re helping ensure History House remains a welcoming home for history, a place where people can meet, share stories and explore the rich history of NSW for generations to come.
