The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Protocols for Libraries, Archives and Information Services was published in 1995 by the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA). The Protocols were endorsed by the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Library, Information and Resource Network (ATSILIRN). They were updated in 2010. Click here.

Royal Historical Society of Victoria
The Royal Historical Society of Victoria has published a Guide to the establishment and operation of historical societies, which provides sample policies, procedures, guidelines and forms. State Records NSW
State Records NSW, in partnership with the Royal Australian Historical Society, held free workshops on Managing Local Collections in regional NSW between July and December 2012. The workshop covered the following areas: storage; developing collection policies; arranging and describing collections; conservation and preservation; databases; digitisation and access policies.
