History House, Sydney – or join us online
The RAHS invites you to Collections and Community: Trove and NSW Historical Societies, presented in partnership with the National Library of Australia.
This special one-day event explores how community history organisations can use Trove’s tools, resources and partnerships to connect collections and strengthen the local history network.
About the Event
Collections and Community focuses on how affiliated societies can make their collections more discoverable through Trove.
In the morning session, representatives from the Trove Partnerships and Community teams will introduce the Trove Content Contributor Package – a free, entry-level program that helps historical societies share their catalogued collections through the Trove website. Presenters will also discuss Community Heritage Grants and the new Trove Guides that support discovery and research.
The afternoon session will celebrate the 2025 Certificates of Achievement, recognising the outstanding contributions of volunteers from affiliated societies across NSW. This will be followed by a discussion forum, exploring practical ways for affiliated societies to strengthen and sustain their organisations.
