WRITING ‘NEW SOUTH WALES AND THE GREAT WAR’ – Dr Naomi Parry

WritingWe are very pleased to be able to share our latest podcast uploaded to the RAHS YouTube Channel – Writing ‘New South Wales And The Great War’ with historian Dr Naomi Parry – http://bit.ly/2qqaWeE

Originally an RAHS Day Lecture, Naomi kindly took time to return to History House for this recording soon after. In this often moving presentation, Naomi discusses the impact of the First World War on the ordinary citizens of NSW, not just in the theatres of combat but at home in our cities, towns and rural communities.

Naomi also reveals some of the treasures she has uncovered in the collections of the State Library of NSW, State Archives and Records NSW, the Anzac Memorial in Hyde Park and regional libraries and museums, that guided the writing of the book.

Purchase ‘New South Wales and the Great War’ written by Naomi Parry and Brad Manera from the State Library of New South Wales http://bit.ly/2r7paSY. Also available from Gleebooks and Megalong Books.

Thank you Naomi for the opportunity to share these stories with our members and friends.
