PARRAMATTA FEMALE FACTORY AND INSTITUTIONS PRECINCT: NATIONAL HERITAGE LISTING ANNOUNCED

The Parramatta Female Factory and Institutions Precinct was added to the National Heritage Listing on Tuesday 14th of November 2017: it is the 113th item to be classified as a national heritage place. Environment Minister Josh Frydenberg said that the precinct was “highly valued for its heritage importance by the local, state and national community and this National Heritage listing will allow the Australian community to stand witness to the lives and experiences of women and children who lived there”. … Read More
