Copyright Amendment Bill

On 22 March 2017 the Copyright Amendment (Disability Access and Other Measures) Bill was introduced to Parliament. The Bill will end perpetual copyright for unpublished materials. As a result millions of historical manuscripts will be freed into the public domain on 1 January 2019. The Heritage Grants program is one of the Community, Youth and Senior heritage projects funded by NSW Office of Environment and Heritage, and provides funding to individuals and community groups for local historical research. Two new ‘Pictorial History’ editions from Kingsclear Books are now part of the RAHS Library Collection. ‘Camden & District’ by Ian Willis and ‘Willoughby: Artarmon – Castle Cove – Castlecrag – Chatswood – Middle Cove – Naremburn – Northbridge – St Leonards – Willoughby’ by Bob McKillop; both publications incorporate the history and development of each area and surrounding suburbs.
