A message from Woollahra History & Heritage Society Inc.
On Sunday, 30th April, The Woollahra History and Heritage Society will give three talks on the history of Strickland House followed by walks around the grounds highlighting some of their interesting features. These will start at 11.00 am, 1.00 pm and 2.30 pm. They will last an hour. No charge to attend but donations will be gratefully accepted.
Government Property NSW is carrying out major renovations to the roof and chimneys of the historic house, Carrara (Strickland House). The house will not be open this year. The magnificent grounds leading down to the foreshore are open to stroll around. No refreshments will be available on the day. Bring along a picnic. Enjoy yourselves taking in the magnificent Harbour views. This is a significant part of the Nation’s heritage.
