One heritage building saved – at least for the time being. The NSW Land and Environment Court recently found the former State Minister for Heritage had ‘misdirected himself’ as to the meaning of ‘undue financial hardship’, and had failed to determine a building’s heritage significance, despite a recommendation from the Heritage Council supporting listing.
