Exciting New World: Australian Life in the 1920s and 1930s

Join the Royal Australian Historical Society for a special online event which will delve into the Exciting New World: Australian Life in the 1920s and 1930s.

Session A: The morning session will feature three exciting presentations on life and leisure in the 1920s and 1930s, including: changes to entertainment media and its impact; 1920s architecture, including its aspirational and health-based aspects; and furnishing Calthorpes’ House using the Beard Watson catalogues.

Session B: The afternoon session will feature the President’s Address, the presentation of Certificates of Achievement, and raffle prizes (retain your receipt for a chance to win), and our popular Business Session.
