Australian Lebanese Family History Workshop

$10.00$15.00

Saturday 9 February, 1pm – 5pm
History House, 133 Macquarie Street, Sydney NSW 2000

The Royal Australian Historical Society, the Centre for Applied History (Macquarie University), and the History Council of NSW are partnering with the Australian Lebanese Historical Society to bring together people interested in Australian Lebanese family history.

Do you want to research, record and tell your family story/stories? Come and hear Alissar Chodoac, Cecile Yazbek, Nola Bramble, Glen Kalem, Emil Dan and Dr Paula Abood give brief overviews  of the different ways they have approached the documentation and telling of Lebanese Australian family histories. Then join other participants to workshop ideas and stories.

As well as the invited speakers, we are fortunate to have Dr Tanya Evans, Dr Jumana Bayeh and Dr Anne Monsour as workshop facilitators. Come and share your experiences and get practical ideas about what you can do to make discovering, preserving and telling your family story a reality. Be sure to bring along any writing, documenting or recording you have already done! This ‘hands-on’ workshop is open to all interested participants.
