The historically significant Yaralla Estate is one of the last of the large nineteenth century estates remaining in metropolitan Sydney. The Estate is considered to be of rare State significance because it incorporates an entire 1790s land grant within its boundaries.

On 28 October 2018 the City of Canada Bay Heritage Society will host its second Yaralla Open Day for the year. All money raised is used for the preservation of the Yaralla and Rivendell estates, both being the Walker Estates bequeathed to NSW in 1938.

The Royal Australian Historical Society has secured 12 Yaralla Estate Open Day tickets for a guided tour of the grounds and some of the outbuildings at 11:30am. The tour takes approximately one hour.

Tours start from the point marked on the Yaralla map (see also the Yaralla Open Day information sheet). We have been advised that Devonshire Teas will be available for sale during the day, as well as a barbecue lunch and cans of drink.

Where: Dame Eadith Walker Hospital, Concord West, NSW 2138 Australia
