NAA Postgraduate Scholarships

Postgraduate Scholarships promote research into Australian History

The second round of 2019 scholarships for Masters and PhD students has been jointly announced by the National Archives of Australia (NAA) and the Australian Historical Association (AHA). Postgraduate students have until 31 October to apply for funding of up to $2375 in digitisation services, plus facilitated access to records in the National Archives collection. The scholarships are open to both Australian and international postgraduate students of Australian history.

Since their commencement in 2011, the NAA/AHA postgraduate scholarships have supported 30 students with their research. In addition to the digitisation of records nominated by the successful candidates, the award also includes priority access examination for records not yet cleared for public release, plus ongoing assistance from a designated National Archives reference officer.
