History House: Upcoming Events this Nov & Dec

Government House, Sydney, 1910 [RAHS Postcard Collection]

November and December are shaping up to be exciting times at History House this Spring and Summer seasons.

November marks the return of the History Is Hot! series in collaboration with the University of Technology Sydney. Join us for an evening of short talks, as graduate students present their research into Australian History.

Our Day Lectures are sure to entertain too. Rosemary Kerr will talk about how the ‘great Australian road trip’ has loomed large in the Australian imagination, while Melissa Bellanta will explore the social history of Australian men’s hair and grooming customs.

RAHS President Christine Yeats will be hosting a workshop on Digging Deeper Into Trove. This informative workshop will enhance your research skills and teach you practical tips for using this important resource – A must for any independent historical researcher.

Finally, don’t forget to RSVP for the RAHS Christmas Party: The perfect opportunity for members to meet RAHS staff, Councillors and other individuals interested in Australian history.

We look forward to seeing you this festive season as we celebrate the diversity of history and look forward to 2020.
