Historic Houses Association of Australia (HHA) are celebrating their 30th anniversary on 1 September 2018 and want you to join them as they mark the day with commemorative activities in The Rocks, Sydney. HHA Director, John Dunn will hold his popular walking tour, The Rocks Revealed where he will investigate the changes throughout history of Millers Point and The Rocks area. What traces of the past remain and who has lived here?Following the walking tour, the HHA will honour their patron Jack Mundey, with a special screening of the 1985 classic film, Rocking the Foundations in which he famously starred. Jack Mundey will be in attendance, as well as the film’s director Pat Fiske with other special guests.
As 1 September also marks the beginning of History Week, Lindesay (the home of the HHA) will be open every day from 1–9 September 2018 with guided walking tours throughout the week. Dating from 1834, this elegant and historic property is known for its stunning Georgian interiors and fine collection of English and colonial furniture. The home is complemented by an elegant parterre garden and well tended grounds with uninterrupted Harbour vistas.
