RAHS/WEA Workshop – Family History Meets Local History Using Trove

February 22, 2022 @ 11:00 - 13:00

$32 – $35

This event is in partnership with WEA Sydney

Trove is great for family history. It enables researchers to add to what they already know about their ancestors through research into Australian newspapers, Government Gazettes, pictures and photos as well as the wealth of other resources now freely available on Trove. Local history helps to link a person to a place at a specific time and puts our ancestors’ activities into context. Local historians too will find that Trove is an invaluable resource. There is an array of digitised material now accessible, which offers a gateway into the history of a local community and its people. This workshop will guide participants through the resources available through Trove, exploring how to link family and local history research.
