Paul Convy will provide advice and guidance on planning and undertaking a digitisation project. Paul will look at the issues you will need to consider when planning a digitisation project, including: the selection of material, how the material is going to be indexed and described, copyright and conservation. He will also discuss scanning techniques and handling tips, advice on image management and storage.
About the speaker: Paul Convy BA (Hons), Grad. Dip. I.M. (Lib), M. Soc. Sci., Cert IV (Workplace Training & Assessment). Paul is the Secretary of the Australian Lebanese Historical Society and co-author of the publication Lebanese Settlement in New South Wales: A Thematic History (2008). Paul planned and managed the digitisation of the Randwick and District Historical Society’s photograph collection.
