  • The Australian Golf Heritage Society – $2,100

NSW Women’s Golf Oral History project
This project will involve building an archival record of women’s golf in NSW by making these oral histories freely available online to researchers and the public, and will show the achievement of women in golf in NSW and the development of the sport in NSW.

  • Berrima Historical Society – $600

Scanning and Conservation of 32 Stereoscopic views of Wombeyan Caves in 1899
The conservation, research and digitisation of this important and rare collection, which will ensure the survival of the originals, as well as making the images available through an online digital collection.

  • Bolong Union Church – $1,600

Snapshots of the Jerry Bailey, Coolangatta and Shoalhaven Heads
To publish a book on the historic district of Jerry Bailey now known as the Shoalhaven Heads with oral histories, never before seen photos, and the history of the village and surrounds.

  • Clyde River and Batemans Bay Historical Society – $1,150

Clyde River Chronicles: The Growth of Batemans Bay and the Clyde River District Vol II 1900-1956
A publication of a collection of articles and advertisements about Batemans Bay and district.

  • Coolah District Development Group – $2,000

End of the Line
The publication of a book on the history of Coolah and the railway heritage of the area.

  • Grenfell Historical Society – $2,100

Historic Homes of the Weddin Shire
To commemorate 150 years of the town of Grenfell via the production of a high quality hard cover publication.

  • Gymea Community Aid Information Service – $2,600

South American Life Stories of the Sutherland Shire – Oral history Project
To assist in the preservation of the personal historical experiences and recollections of local South American people who have moved to the Sutherland Shire from both the perspectives of living in South America and Australia.

  • Illawarra Historical Society – $2,600

Scandal, Slander and Interfering with our Neighbours
A publication of the history of early life in the Illawarra region with the central ‘character’ being the courts and legal system.

  • Kandos Bicentennial Industrial Museum – $4,000

Streetwise: Finding History on the streets of Kandos
A publication of the history of Kandos through its streets, parks and subdivisions.

  • Karuah Working Together – $1,600

The Branch publication
To capture and preserve as much of the history of the Branch community where possible for the purpose of a publication. It was originally a timber-milling village from 1870-1937 and is now non-existent although the rural community is still identified by that name.

  • Kurrajong Comleroy Historical Society – $2,100

St. Stephens Anglican Church registers
The publication of Volume 2 of the St. Stephens Registers.

  • Muswellbrook Shire Local and Family History Society – $500

Wybong, Mount Dangar and Giant Creeks Cemetery Recording
Complete and lasting records of the above cemeteries at this point in time. These records will be in both Access database and Excel format. Accompanying this will be maps that show the locations of each gravesite and cemeteries.

  • Narrabri and District Historical Society – $3,100

Bourke Court House records and isolated burials
A project whose aim is to record in photo and text, headstones and burial sites as they are in 2015.

  • NSW Australian Football History Society – $3,600

Redevelopment of the Society’s website to improve community access to its digital materials
A website that is highly accessible to the many visitors seeking access to the Society’s extensive and growing digitised collection.

  • Port Macquarie Historical Society – $1,150

For the Moral and Intellectual Good – The Port Macquarie School of the Arts
To produce a high quality publication telling the story of the Port Macquarie Art School and its forerunner, the PM Literary Association, from its original formation in 1840.

  • Randwick and District Historical Society – $1,100

Digitisation of the RDHS photographic collection
Digitisation of large format photographs belonging to the Randwick and District Historical Society collection.

  • St Matthews Anglican Church Windsor – $2,100

St Matthews Anglican Church Complex History
A publication of the contextual history of the St. Matthews Anglican Church complex.

  • Spit Amateur Swim Club Mosman – $1,100

120 Years of the Spit Amateur Swim Club
This project will result in a book and small exhibition entitled ‘Swimming with the Spit: 100 years of the Spit Amateur Swim Club 1916-2016’.

  • Tomakin Community Group – $1,100

The History of the Tomakin and Tomago River
Publication of a booklet on the history of Tomakin and Tomaga River, which will be registered with the Moruya and District Historical Society to be made available to the community.

  • Wagga Wagga and District Historical Society – $1,100

Wagga Wagga Digitisation and Documentation Project
Digitisation of valuable archives, which will be made accessible in digital format.

  • Wolli Creek Preservation Society – $1,500

Uncovering The Hidden History of the Wolli Creek Valley
Development of a website to make the archeological information from Graham Wilson’s 2015 publication of the same name, and other materials, accessible to the wider community.

  • Wyong District Museum and Historical Society – $1,700

Yarramalong Valley: history notes
Publication of monthly articles in book form, which will provide a much needed research and record source of the area. This will help awaken and nurture interest in the area’s unique beginnings and valuable contribution to the development of the Wyong Shire.
