Membership Benefits
As a member you will receive History, the magazine of the Royal Australian Historical Society which is published quarterly. It provides information on the activities of the Society and its members; notices of forthcoming events; articles of general historical interest; current issues of concern to historians; news from the affiliated societies' network and book reviews.
You will also receive the Journal of the Royal Australian Historical Society, published twice yearly, the oldest established journal of Australian history, which contains a wide range of scholarly articles.
Members are entitled to the free use of the RAHS Library which holds both written and pictorial resources on all aspects of Australian history. The Library specialises in NSW history and, in particular, the publications of the RAHS affiliated societies. The Library is open from Monday to Friday from 10.00 am to 4.00 pm.
A diverse programme of events is offered to members including lectures; excursions to sites of historical interest; research training workshops and seminars. An annual conference is held alternately in Sydney and the country.

The RAHS uses contract mail for overseas postage. Delivery should take no more than three weeks.
Subscriptions include History magazine (ISSN 1031-9476) published in March, June, September and December, and the Journal of the Royal Australian Historical Society (ISSN 0035-8762) published in two parts in June and December.
These publications are available only in print version. There is no discount for agents. Cancellations are not accepted mid-term.
Claims for missing issues should be submitted within six months. Free replacement after twelve months will be at our discretion.
Cheques should accompany order and be made payable to the Royal Australian Historical Society, and must be in Australian dollars. Mastercard, Visa and Bankcard (Australia only) are accepted.
