Local and Specialist History

The Royal Australian Historical Society provides support services to over 370 local and special interest societies throughout New South Wales. It provides practical information to help members of historical societies research and publish history, and encourages active networking between society members throughout the state.

History Magazine publishes news and reviews from the societies in 'State Roundup', promoting society activities and publications throughout the wider history community.

Grant programmes administered by the RAHS assist the research and publication of local and specialist history.

By affiliating with the Royal Australian Historical Society societies become part of the Australian history community and help to strengthen the profile of history within the state.
